	Wahnsinn! Endlich am Start! Mit wunderschönem Beigleitheft! Die Songs auf diese Schallplatte sind ein umwerfendes Beispiel für das, was ein Punk-Papst einmal als „fetzige schwäbische Moralschocker“ feierte und ein Pop-Papst als „neo-pietistische Protestlieder“ verhöhnte. Wer hat nun Recht? Eins jedenfalls ist klar: Die gut zwei Dutzend Leute, die an „Schallbladd“ beteiligt waren, wissen, was geht und was nicht. Griffig und spekulativ zugleich präsentieren sie uns einen bisher kaum bekannten Diskurs, der über Generationen hinweg gehegt und gepflegt wurde. Ob als krasser Schwank, ulkige Spuk- und Spaßgeschichte, erschütterndes Märchen oder befreiender Popsong – schwäbische Popkultur hat es immer schon verstanden, virtuos zwischen den Polen ‚gemütlich‘ und ‚ungemütlich‘ zu changieren. So auch hier! Fast 30 Jahre nach der semi-legendären Postpunk-Kompilation „Schwabesäkel International“ (1983) dokumentiert „Schallbladd“ heute den Status Quo. Und was für geniale Schnapsideen wahr geworden sind! Jeder Tic ein Treffer! Man sieht Masken wandern und hört fremde Zungen singen. Entsprechend dem Motto ‚Lokal lieben, global klingen‘ liefert „Schallbladd“ den Beweis, dass Folklore keine Falle sein muss. Wenn es mal hakt, helfen spektakuläre Sparwitze weiter. Das alles ist vor allem musikalisch eine Wonne. Twee Pop, Neue Musik, Yachtrock, Bossa Nova, Disco, Avantjazz oder Psychobeat – alles ist im Überfluss vorhanden. Der Imperativ ist ganz schlicht: „Embrace!“, „Enjoy!“, „Nastracka Now!“ Das geht jetzt durchaus auch an die Adresse der Hineingeschmeckten und anderer Novizen. „Schallbladd“ sollte für lange Zeit unser aller schönstes Plaisir sein. 	New & Sealed 2006 Das 6. Album der Band aus Boston um Sängerin Mona Elliott. Täusche ich mich oder gehen Victory At Sea hier zuweilen gar happy und beschwingt zu Werke? Natürlich bleibt ihr Mix aus pianogetriebenem emotionalem Indierock eher Musik für regnerische und dunkle Tage, aber die neuen Songs kommen um einiges flotter und eingängiger rüber. Steht der Band ausgezeichnet. Die Vergleiche mit den immer genannten Black Heart Procession oder The Dirty Three sollten sich somit endgültig erledigt haben.

	DAS ist Hardcore! Unbeschreiblich roh und einfach nur gewaltig! Nach zwei bereits ausverkauften 7“s kommt Europas neuer Hardcore Hype mal wieder aus Belgien. Wer die 7“s kennt, kann sich ausmalen was hier auf ihn zurollt. Aber Vogue sind unvorhersehbar, überraschen immer wieder durch Stimmungs- und Tempowendungen, verrückte, psychedelische Passagen, nihilistische Wutausbrüche und anderen kranken Scheiß. Das solide, aus früh-80er Eastcoast Hardcore a la Void, deep Wound oder meinetwegen auch SSD bestehende Grundsgerüst wird mehr als überzeugend umgesetzt, aber Vogue sind einfach mehr und daher sind Vergleiche kaum möglich, es sei denn man kann sich eine Mischung aus Pissed Jeans und Dead Stop oder Die Kreuzen und Void vorstellen. In jeglicher Hinsicht einfach nur großartig!
