	After a lifetime of nightfall and foggy moonlight, I Love You but I\'ve Chosen Darkness creeps out of the shadows with their long-awaited full-length debut, Fear Is on Our Side. The Austin, Texas, band follows up their 2003 self-titled, five-song EP - a much poppier affair produced by Spoon\'s Britt Daniel - with a dose of thunder and lightning, pain and pleasure. Produced this time around by Paul Barker (Ministry, Revolting Cocks), the record is more sadness than joy with Christian Goyer\'s lonely lyrics and hauntingly echoed guitar persuaded by Edward Robert\'s chorused basslines. The sound is coaxing and familiar, Ernest Salaz\'s textured guitar melodies alternately subtle and entrancing; then howling and anguished. From opening tragic tale \"The Ghost,\" the five-piece echoes past ages and foretells the future. Powerful layers rip through the silence, bonding strength and longing with the weight of a sigh. Reminiscent to latter-era Talk Talk, with the introspection also comes passion. \"According to Plan\" throbs and gristles through Tim White\'s pulsating beats that insist on movement. Originally electronically recorded for an Artikal Records 12-inch, the track comes alive here, just as tight as on the original but even darker. Mixing lulling instrumentals (\"The Owl\") with epic storytelling (\"Today We Choose Faces\"), ILYBICD breaks out of any genre-specific molds. Since 2001, Chosen Darkness (along with their local predecessors Paul Newman, Windsor for the Derby, and Glorium), have paid their dues by becoming THE band to play with in Austin. Now, it\'s time to put a sound with the name. Fear Is on Our Side is not trivial or banal. It\'s not trendy or futile. Fear is a testament to our times, our revolutions, and our meaning. Now, it seems, the woods have moved into their music. After touring in support of 2005's Heart Like a River, Ida found an acoustically sublime haven in Levon Helm's (of The Band) home studio located in the Catskill Mountains. Over the next two years Ida abandoned their traditional studio perfectionism in favor of a spontaneous approach that included live tracking with few overdubs. The band ironically wound up with the clearest, most dynamic album they have ever made. In tune with this process, Ida have managed to make their most powerful statement: A collection of songs that invoke the proximity of the invisible and the reality of love with an earned grace that comes from experience, persistence, and an undiminished enthusiasm for making sounds together. 	Info A guitar player, a drummer… that’s all. Magical groove, original feeling and sharped sense of rowdy rythm make The Inspector Cluzo the funkiest rock duet in the world... or the opposite? Fishbone lead singer Angelo Moore and bass player Norwood Fisher agreed with that and got involved in their first LP, produced at Jet Studio in Brussels by Stephane Kraemer (Yann “Amelie Poulain” Tiersen, Jack The Ripper, Watcha, Pleymo). That’s the most surprising thing with Inspector Cluzo, besides that they are only two guys and make more noise than a big orchestra : it’s just rock in its raw state, just rock, fresh and full of energy. Their first record is amazing, full of these little pieces of snapshot hits (Mad, or the acoustic Change) that never let the listerner take his breath... After their common tour with Infectious Grooves & Fishbone in april 2008, the first LP of the Inspector Cluzo is here! In september, the explosive duo will just be back from their australian tour (where they obtained a contract with Billion, booking agency of the Black Keys, Arcade Fire & Nick Cave), after visiting England (the mythic Meanfiddler in London), Holland and France... The Inspector Cluzo will be back on european tour in october to support the release of their first eponym album on Ter a Terre Records, and will tour all through Germany, Switzerland, Czech Republic, Hungary, Italy, Portugal and Scandinavian countries. Fuck the Bass Player (featuring Norwood Fisher from Fishbone) will be the first radio single and the video clip will be available in september too...
